I am Goutam Dey, working in Southern Medical University as a Resident Coordinator,

Regarding the infrastructure which is required of medical is superb over here and much more what we had in India (Except few medical colleges) The class rooms are fitted with L.C.D projectors, Microphone and Broadband connection,

The City Guangzhou is 3^rd biggest city and well planned; inside campus we are also having an Indian Dining hall which provides us the Indian taste.

Regarding the students they are charming, hardworking and well spoken, I have seen them to have lots of Chinese friends, and I think if they do communicate with Chinese students they can improve their language knowledge. And regarding education, if I can motivate them in right path, I feel they can give us the best results, So I, and our teacher is trying to make them motivated and give us the best results.  we are doing work over here as a team and our students are like jubilant players whom we are trying to gives best out of best.

I am taking their pains to stay with students and helping them out, like in hospitals and take care of them as their “local Guardian”.

The Chinese coordinator Ms. Erica, Ms. Sofia and Ms Vivian acts like an intermediate between us and University and is also very kind and helpful.

Mr Haney who is working for International students teaching affairs is also highly perceptible for his heard work, all together it has created a large family of educators, administrators students from all around world under one roof as well as a first group of successful graduates already back to their respective countries and second one in waiting to take the challenge to enter through iron gate to shape their and others future .best of luck fellas

The university vice Dean. Dr. Wen is also a very great and kind man person, he keeps his busy schedule apart to look after the matters which we brought to his kind notice and try to solve them to his limit.

                                Last but never the least I want to convey my thanks and gratitude to SOLC team to select me and given me a chance to work in foreign country and also given me a scope to learn and have an experience of life.   

Whatever I have become today Just because of active support of SOLC team. Very many thanks for caring to remember me.

Honestly, I was a bit reluctant to come to china for work. However, my desire to explore a new country and hence learn a new language brought me here. Besides, I took this opportunity as it can help attain my goal of serving the society to a certain extent if I can guide a significant number of deserving students and share the knowledge I have. As better said by Nelson Mandela – “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”.

I have been teaching in Xiamen University and Southern Medical University which are one of the many good universities in china. The teaching module here is a nice amalgam of theory and practical classes. I found that barring few, most students are in constant pursuit of knowledge and thrive hard to compete with their counterparts in India. One of my major focus here, is to enable them crack the Medical council screening test in first shot. It is overwhelming to see more and more students clearing the screening test which was once a nightmare for them. I strongly feel that if the student is diligent, hard working and have a pursuit of excellence he/she will surely rise to shine out as a successful physician.

I personally feel that the undergraduation in china is an unparalleled experience. The universities here are WHO and MCI recognized, well organized and fully equipped with state of art medial equipments in hospitals, modern teaching facilities and dedicated teaching faculties. Apart from MCI exam students are also eligible to write other competitive exam like the USMLE, AMC and PLAB.

I applaud the constant efforts made by SOL team, especially Dr Bose to provide a platform to some deserving students to pursue their dream profession.
